1. What we collect
OpenPitch collects only what it needs to run games:
- Account data — your email address, and your name if you provide one. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider; we never see them.
- Profile data — display name, organization name, bio, avatar, city, phone number and social links, when you choose to add them.
- Session data — the games you create, join, or cancel, and the roster of each session you organize.
- Facility data — for field managers: your venues, fields, published availability, and booking requests.
- Payment records — amounts and status. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers.
2. Why we use it
- Show you games near you and let you reserve a spot
- Let organizers see who has joined and who has paid
- Confirm or cancel a session when it reaches — or misses — its minimum player count
- Send reminders before a game and notices when something changes
- Keep accounts secure and investigate abuse
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Who processes it
OpenPitch runs on a small set of service providers, each handling one job:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and image storage
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email (reminders, confirmations)
- Vercel — application hosting
Beyond these, we share data only when required by law. Anything you publish on a session or pitch page — an organizer name, a session title, a venue — is public by design.
4. What other players see
Your email address is never shown to other players. Organizers see the roster of their own sessions, including the contact details of players who joined, so they can reach the group on game day. Public pages show display names only.
5. Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Access to records is enforced at the database level, so one account cannot read another account's data. Uploaded images are stripped of embedded metadata — including GPS coordinates — before being stored.
6. Your choices
You can, at any time:
- View and edit your profile from your account settings
- Ask us for a copy of your data
- Ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it
Records tied to a completed payment may be retained where we are required to keep them. Email support@openpitchroc.com for any of the above.
7. Children
OpenPitch is not intended for people under 13. If a minor plays in a session, a parent or guardian is responsible for the account used to register them.
8. Changes and contact
We will note the date above when this policy changes, and email account holders about anything significant. Questions go to support@openpitchroc.com.
